North East Thames Foundation School was established by the London Deanery in collaboration with Barts and The London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine & Dentistry and The East of England Deanery. The Foundation Programme was introduced by Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) - a project board of the four UK Health Departments - and went live in August 2005.

We have nine associated NHS Trusts, please view their websites:

Curriculum Mapping 2011/12

The Curriculum Mapping exercise, undertaken by the Foundation School and LEPs, is designed to ensure the foundation programmes meet the curriculum appropriately. The resulting exercise worksheets give mean rating scores for each curriculum mapping item for each placement at all of NETFS partner LEPs as at December 2012.  Please note since 1 April 2012 BLT, Newham and Whipps Cross have merged to form Barts Health NHS Trust.
